December 14, 2023With star quarterback Deshaun Watson officially out for the season, the Cleveland Browns had to figure out how to navigate the rest of the 2023 NFL regular season with other options at the quarterback position.
The Browns have now put the burden on veteran quarterback and journeyman Joe Flacco under center and he has done a great job leading the team to a two game win.
As a result of Flacco’s performance thus far, the team signed him to a one-year contract to secure his starting role and help the team advance to the playoffs.
The former Super Bowl champion doesn’t know how much money he’ll make with the Browns now, not even when he’s on the team’s practice squad.

With four games remaining in the Browns’ regular season schedule, it looks like they will win most, if not all, of their four games before the playoffs begin.Fortunately for Cleveland,
Flacco has played well enough to keep the offense going strong while the defense has led the way, making them a legitimate force to be reckoned with in the AFC.
Only time will tell if Flacco and company can continue to win football games and make the playoffs, but the quarterback position isn’t as big of an issue as it was when Watson went down.
