Already shipped. Flacco signed a $4.05 million contract with incentives Thursday from the Browns, who signed the veteran quarterback on an emergency basis after losing starter Deshaun Watson to a right shoulder injury last month.

Flacco’s contract marks the 38-year-old’s move from practice player to the active roster.

This is more of a procedural thing than anything else, but it guarantees he will be with the Browns as they try to make the playoffs.

The team has kept Flacco off the practice squad starting with the Rams and Jaguars the past two weeks.

Another team could have signed him while he was on the practice squad.

“I’m not going anyway,” he said. “I really enjoyed it here.”

Flacco could earn $75,000 for each win in Cleveland’s remaining four regular-season games, a person familiar with the financial terms told The Associated Press.

They spoke on condition of anonymity because incentives were not disclosed.

Flacco can also earn $250,000 for a wild card win, $500,000 for a divisional playoff win, $1 million for an AFC title and another $2 million if the Browns win the Super Bowl.

At home in New Jersey, he pondered his future and wondered if his career was over when the Browns came.
