Dustin Hopkins sets a new record for touchdowns in a season for the Browns.

Hopkins hit a 55-yard field goal in the fourth quarter for his 31st field goal of the season.

With 3:15 left in the game, Dustin Hopkins, in his first season with the Browns, made history.

Hopkins accomplished what no other Browns player could. Hopkins set a new Browns scoring record with 31 points in a season.

The previous record of 30 goals was set by Phil Dawson in 2008.

The touchdown came after Hopkins went three quarters without a field goal attempt, the first time the Browns have not attempted a field goal in three quarters this season.

Cleveland Browns Stadium went quiet as they attempted a 55-yard field goal.

Hopkins shot and fired the ball past the right side of the goal. The crowd cheered for Hopkins, who extended the Browns’ lead to 31-21.

The Browns traded a 2025 seventh-round pick to the Chargers on Aug. 28 to acquire Hopkins.

Hopkins eventually replaced K sophomore Cade York, who struggled in the preseason and was eventually waived by the Browns.

When Hopkins joined the Browns, the coaching staff was confident in his talent level and the impact he would have on the kicking game.

Hopkins has done just that in 13 games this season. It is more than that.

It was a career year for Hopkins, who set a career high with a 58-yard field goal in Week 7 against the Colts.

In that game, Hopkins snapped an NFL record five consecutive games with a field goal of at least 50 yards.

Hopkins also went 8-of-8 on field goals of 50 yards or more this season.
