Miles Garrett caught it with the referee

In today’s show:Scott Petrak of The Chronicle-Telegram and Tyler Johnson of The Faithful Dawgs Podcast join the Today Show to discuss the Browns’ win over the Jaguars.

We discuss what we’ve seen from Joe Flacco so far, where the Browns stand in the playoff race, and what’s next for the team.

Miles Garrett caught it with the referee.

Browns DE tells NFL officials some hard truths about his current condition after Sunday’s win over Jacksonville.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Myles Garrett had nothing to say about his thoughts on the current state of the NFL after Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Garrett played all day against Blake Hance, Jacksonville’s fourth option at left tackle.

Hance was an interesting development when the Browns hired him in the 2020 playoffs, but the idea of keeping Garrett without a sack for an entire game is problematic.

It might cost Garrett a little because the league office doesn’t like players to speak their quiet parts out loud, but Garrett didn’t care what happened on the field. (Quoted from records provided by the team):”Today’s referee was a joke.

To be honest, I was scared. And the fact that they took the wrong start and ran away with their hands on their faces.

I know they made some calls, but damn, they could have just called it a game.

And the two meter long net came at a huge cost.

I mean, it’s hard on those guys, but damn, we have a hard time too.

You can’t make it difficult by throwing out the rule book, holding their hand and pointing it in their face.

“And like I said, I have a lot of respect for these guys, but we’re under the spotlight because of the plays we’re not making.

So someone has to take responsibility for a play or call they didn’t make.

We have to look at them under the microscope that we place under each part.

“Sunday’s game was a turning point for Garrett.

Garrett pointed out that game officials treat him differently each week, similar to what happened to Shaquille O’Neal in the NBA.“This Hack-a-Shack crap has got to stop.

As we can see, you are the best and we will let him get away with anything. This is ridiculous.

Do not allow anyone to put their fingers in the face mask, push your head up or grab the back of the collar.

Otherwise, you will be caught from the front. We’re looking at all of that, but we’re trying to develop an attacking game.

Both sides should be correct. I don’t care about such attacks. The defense must be held to the same standard.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell probably won’t like Garrett shining a light on the issue.

But it’s a topic that needs to be addressed, and Garrett isn’t the only quarterback who’s spoken out this offseason.

Let’s hope the officials hear Garrett’s comments and change their behavior, even if it hurts their opponents.
