Sad news from Aston villa…

Aston Villa travel to face Bournemouth this weekend as they look to secure back-to-back away wins in the Premier League. Here is our predicted XI…

Last time out, Aston Villa secured a win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League and will be looking to do the same against Bournemouth.

Up against Legia Warsaw in midweek, Unai Emery did make some changes but will he maintain those into the weekend?

It has been a criticism of the Villans in recent months that their away form isn’t as good as it could be so a win will be a demand.

Villa is in characteristic good form with back-to-back wins in domestic and European competition in the past week.

They will look to maintain that as they face Bournemouth. Here is our predicted XI…

The goalkeeper position picks itself for the Villans.

Emi Martinez will retake his role in between the sticks after missing out against Legia.

The back four also basically picks itself at this point.

Ezri Konsa and Pau Torres have formed an immovable partnership in the heart of defence and will likely start.

The full-back roles will also likely be taken up by Matty Cash and Lucas Digne as it has been almost all season.

This back four has been successful this campaign and will take some moving, even with the return of Alex Moreno this week.

The midfield comes with three surefire choices. Douglas Luiz and Boubacar Kamara have been ever-present in the heart of the Villa midfield.

Alongside them has been captain, John McGinn who has had a superb campaign.

That trio will start vs Bournemouth but who will be the fourth? After his cameo against Legia, it has to be Leon Bailey as he was superb against the Poles.

In the forward roles, the front two will be the same as it was against Warsaw in the Conference League.

After his great goal, Moussa Diaby will hope he can get back on the scoresheet in the Premier League this weekend.

Alongside him will be Jhon Duran who came in for an injured Ollie Watkins and impressed despite not scoring.

Aston Villa predicted XI: Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Torres, Digne, McGinn, Luiz, Kamara, Bailey, Diaby, Duran
