Aston Villa host Manchester City at Villa Park on Wednesday and go in search of their 14th home league win in a row.
Unai Emery’s side drew 2-2 with Bournemouth last time out as Ollie Watkins came up with a late equaliser to snatch a point from the Vitality Stadium. That extended Villa’s unbeaten run in all competitions to five games after wins over AZ, Fulham, Tottenham and Legia, before the draw on the south coast.
Watkins overcame a small injury to feature against Bournemouth, while Alex Moreno and Jacob Ramsey have also recently returned from injury.
Both players suffered setbacks in their respective returns from injuries, but are now building their fitness up ahead of the club’s busy festive schedule.
