For the second consecutive game, the Houston Texans plan to introduce a new uniform combination for their Week 12 matchup with the AFC South-rival Jacksonville Jaguars.
On what will be their annual “Battle Red Day,” the Texans will utilize the alternate color for their jerseys, pants and helmets, the team announced on social media. This isn’t the first time that the Texans have worn matching pants to go with their Battle Red alternate tops, as they previously did so from 2007-2010. However, it will be the first time that the red-on-red uniform combination has been worn with the matching alternate helmet, which was introduced before the 2022 season.
Houston also donned their alternate Battle Red helmets a week ago, wearing them with their secondary Deep Steel Blue jerseys and pants in a win over the Arizona Cardinals. Here’s a look at what uniforms the Texans have worn in each of their games this season. 25-9 loss in Week 1 at Baltimore Ravens: Liberty White jerseys, Deep Steel Blue pants, Deep Steel Blue helmets
