West Ham issue deeply worrying injury update on trio ahead of Burnley

West Ham have issued a deeply worrying official injury update on trio Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio and Mohammed Kudus ahead of Burnley.

It’s a funny old game isn’t it sometimes?

Having got away relatively scot-free in terms of incident or injury in the first two international breaks of the season, the third and final one of the year has been disastrous for West Ham.

Michail Antonio, Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus have all picked up injuries.

The Hammers make the long trip to face Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday – a venue that has rarely been a happy hunting ground.

West Ham’s worrying injury update on trio

David Moyes would surely be hoping to change that with West Ham back on the coat tails of the European spots and Burnley rock bottom of the Premier League.

As always seems to be the way with West Ham, though, things are not quite that straightforward.

West Ham fans have been anxiously awaiting some official news on Bowen, Antonio and Kudus.

The top source inside the club voiced concerns over all three this week.

There was some hope when Kudus, who had missed Ghana training with a back injury, played as a second half substitute in a defeat to Comoros.

That gave Hammers supporters belief Kudus would be fine to face Burnley at the weekend.

The Hammers hierarchy are also unimpressed with Gareth Southgate over Bowen.

Now West Ham have issued a deeply worrying official injury update on trio Bowen, Antonio and Kudus ahead of Burnley.

‘The club will assess’

In the official preview for the match, West Ham have admitted they have concerns over all three – including Kudus – and will be assessing them now they have returned to Rush Green.

“Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio and Mohammed Kudus missed matches for their respective countries on international duty due to injury,” the official website states.

“Having returned to West Ham, the club will assess their respective injuries.”

Antonio and Bowen both suffered knee injuries and are almost certainly out of the Burnley clash.

Hammers News voiced concerns about Kudus’ long flight back to London with his back issue.

So we can only hope for some good news on our £38m star boy. Because goodness knows we will need him.
