Brown’s single plan for weeks 12 and 13 after the planning application is granted

The Browns’ schedule includes back-to-back West games, as required

The Cleveland Browns schedule has been known for a long time, but how difficult the schedule will be changes almost week to week.

Whether it’s injuries, an over- or under-performing team, or the Browns’ performance, the NFL schedule is more like a roller coaster.

Over the next four weeks, two AFC playoff contenders and two underdog NFC teams will appear on Cleveland’s schedule, starting with the Denver Broncos in Week 12.

With three games on the Browns’ schedule out west (Denver, Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks), the team had two scheduled in consecutive weeks. The NFL approved the request.

Unless something has changed from the original plan, Cleveland will fly for this week’s game against the Broncos and then stay out West before the game against the Rams.

The hope is that the team can adapt more fully to the time change while limiting the number of flying corps.

One small benefit, especially considering the team’s bye week earlier in the season, is that the Browns have another week to rest and regroup as a team (like they did at the Greenbriar during training camp).

That plan also limits media access to the team to those who will travel for both games. Only time will tell if Cleveland’s plan will benefit the team in Week 13 in Los Angeles.

At 7-3, the Browns’ schedule lines up well to win at least 10 games in 2023, but it all starts with this two-week road trip.
