Browns unique plan for Weeks 12, 13 after schedule request granted

Browns schedule includes back to back games out west as requested

The Cleveland Browns schedule has been known for a long time but how difficult the schedule will be changes on almost a week-to-week basis. Whether it is injuries, a team over or underachieving or the performance of the Browns, the NFL schedule is more like a roller coaster.

The next four weeks will bring two playoff contenders in the AFC and two losing teams from the NFC onto Cleveland’s schedule starting with the Denver Broncos in Week 12.

Unless something has changed from the original plan, Cleveland will fly out for this week’s game against the Broncos and then stay out west in advance of the game against the Rams. The hope is that the team can adjust more fully to the time change while limiting the toll on bodies from flying.

A small benefit, especially given the team’s early season bye week, is that the Browns will get another week to rest and unite as a team (like they did at the Greenbriar during training camp).

That plan will also limit media access to the team to those who will travel for both games.

Only time will tell if Cleveland’s plan will benefit the team in Week 13 in Los Angeles.

At 7-3, the Browns schedule lines up well for them to win at least 10 games in 2023 but that starts with this two week road trip.
