Chargers News: Bolts Defensive Standout Shocked By LA’s Continually Bad Defense

Once again, the Los Angeles Chargers defense failed to get the job done in a close game.

While they weren’t the only ones to blame for the loss to the Green Bay Packers this past weekend, the struggles continued for them.

LA had seen a few games of better defensive performances, but last week against the Detroit Lions it came unhinged. They believed they could bounce back against the Packers, but it was more of the same.

Linebacker Eric Kendricks spoke about the defensive issues, and how he is surprised at the results they keep seeing on the field.

“Guys are connected,” he said. “We hang out off the field. We hang out in the locker room. We enjoy each other’s company. We work hard together.”

LA has the players on the defensive side of the ball to make things happen, but they just aren’t seeing strong results. It’s been tough on everyone, and the players don’t quite understand it.

“That’s what’s the most frustrating about it because we all want to see each other succeed and we all want to collectively win. But these fourth quarters, when it comes down to the wire, we’re not getting it done.”

LA has dropped multiple games by one score this season, and the defense hasn’t done its job. Against Green Bay, they consistently let the Packers convert on third down, leading to more scoring chances.

The Bolts don’t have much time left to slip up, and their season is hanging by a thread. It’s already going to be an uphill battle to get back into the playoff race, but this team can only take things one game at a time.
