NOV. 12 PATRIOTS BILL BELICHICK CONTRACT DETAILS REVEALED, ROBERT KRAFT INTENTIONS – For the first time in over two decades, the New England Patriots have significant questions surrounding their coaching situation.

At 2-7, rumors surrounding coach Bill Belichick have traveled the spectrum from his being involved in a full scale rebuild next season, to a potential trade for his services in the offseason, to an outright firing if the Pats drop to 2-8 with a loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Frankfurt, Germany.

In a piece entitled, “NFL Rumor: Fired Bill Belichick to Be Hired by Dallas Cowboys’ Jerry Jones? 5 Truths,” Fisher writes: “Here’s a rumor to pile on: We do hear that Belichick wouldn’t mind breaking up his partnership with Patriots owner Robert Kraft, but that he very specifically does not want to be traded, because that would strip his new team of draft picks.

“So the coach, if he’s going to leave New England, would actually prefer to get canned.”

This makes more sense than the “Belichick trade” rumor, for obvious reasons. So now we watch – continuing today in Germany as the 2-7 Patriots play the Colts and try to change their status as the AFC’s worst team.
