New York faces Nashville SC on MLS decision day at GEODIS Park

The New York Red Bulls (10-13-10, 40 points) will face Nashville SC (13-10-10, 49 points) on Saturday, October 21 at GEODIS Park for MLS Decision Day. Kickoff is set for 6.00 pm.

This will be the fourth regular season meeting between Nashville and the Red Bulls, with New York leading with a 1-0-2 record in the series.

The Red Bulls have only played in Nashville once in their club history, in the 2021 MLS Decision Day, where they earned a 1-1 draw.

New York will look to qualify for the playoffs for the 14th straight season with a result against Nashville SC on Saturday.

Nashville SC last defeated New England Revolution 3-2 on Oct. 14 to win their first home game since July 15.

New York Red Bulls forward Elias Manoel made three assists in New York’s 3-0 win over Toronto FC on Saturday, October 7.

He became the 11th Red Bulls player to record three assists in a single game and was the third New York player this season. to record a multi-assist game.

Manoel has scored four goals and five assists in all competitions this season.

The Red Bulls defense recorded its 11th clean sheet of the season in all competitions in New York’s final match.

New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Carlos Coronel has now recorded eight clean sheets in MLS, which places him seventh in MLS this year.

Coronel has a 1-0-2 record against Nashville SC in his career and has recorded two career clean sheets against the club.
