Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that Liverpool transfer target Jarrod Bowen has agreed to sign a new contract with West Ham United.

The25-year-old has long been seen as someone who could replace Mohamed Salah at Liverpool.

After the well-documented ties with Saudi Arabia over the summer, those doors are more likely to come knocking again, which only increases the chances of the Egyptian star heading for the exit door.,

Regardless Jarrod Bowen’s name has popped up on Liverpool’s transfer radar several times, most recently when talkSPORT reported that the Merseyside players, along with Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United, were “in alert” because its contract negotiations were at a standstill.

Well, Fabrizio Romano denied that on Twitter on Saturday night by claiming that Jarrod Bowen’s new long-term deal with the Hammers is “over” – that will certainly delight actor and West Ham fan Danny Dyer.

He described the England international, who is with his daughter, as “incredible”.

If the worst-case scenario happens and Mohamed Salah leaves, Liverpool will now have to look elsewhere.
