Cristian Romero stunned by Tottenham man who is truly ‘perfect’ for Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero has ended the life of Spurs under Ange Postecoglou.

Speaking to Optus Sport, the Tottenham star also told how Spurs will approach their clash with Arsenal this weekend.

Tottenham are in fine form for Sunday’s Premier League trip to the Emirates Stadium for the north London derby.
“He just wants to win”

Postecoglou wasted no time in transforming Spurs into a strong, cohesive team again.

A few months into his mandate, things seem to be going well. Romero is also in good shape.

He helped Tottenham win four league titles, one draw and two clean sheets, also scoring two goals.

Postecoglou has entrusted the Argentina international with the responsibility of being one of the team’s vice-captains this season.

“He (Postecoglou) is a person whose ambition is clear,” Romero told Optus Sport.

“He just wants to win. From the first day he arrived here, he made it very clear. “I think the club needed a manager like this who fits perfectly with the history of the club.

“He’s a good man. All his coaches are good people who work for us 24 hours a day.
“And its objectives are clear. He wants to achieve things.

Romero turned his attention to Tottenham as a whole, saying: “This club has to compete in the top four. »

Asked if wins against Arsenal and Liverpool could spark talk of a possible title challenge, he said: “We’ll see.”

He then promised to treat the north London derby as a final in order to maintain the tone they wish to set.

Romero continued: “We treat every game like it’s a final. First we have Arsenal and we consider this a final.

“Not just because it’s a derby, but because that’s how we want to approach games this season.”

It’s amazing how quickly Postecoglou changed the game at Tottenham.

Likewise, it’s nice to see Romero in such good form. He was good last season too, but you could see his frustration boiling over at times.

Now that he has a more competent defense around him, it’s no surprise that Romero is playing better, too.

Journalist Loic Tanzi has shared Tottenham transfer news as a player opts to join Spurs, with chairman Daniel Levy set to ‘complete’ signing him.

Who signed Tottenham 2023?
Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, young centre-back Ashley Phillips, defender Micky van de Ven, midfielder James Maddison, winger Manor Solomon, striker Alejo Veliz and striker Brennan Johnson all joined Spurs during the window transfer market for the summer of 2023.

Spurs’ seven new signings complete Ange Postecoglou’s new team that has taken the Premier League by storm so far.

The Lilywhites are displaying a fresh and exciting attacking style under Postecolgou, in stark contrast to the more dogmatic years of both Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho.

All this without striker Harry Kane, who moved to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in a multi-million pound move in August.

Sergio Reguilon, Joe Rodon, Djed Spence, Harry Winks, Alfie Devine, Troy Parrott, Dane Scarlett, Davinson Sanchez and Tanguy Ndombele have all moved elsewhere, either on loan or permanently.

It’s a truly exciting time to be a Spurs fan and Postecoglou says the fanbase should appreciate it.

“No, no, no, let them go, let them go and enjoy it,” Postecoglou said after the 2-1 win over Sheffield United last weekend.

“My job is not to burst people’s bubbles. Let them be excited, let them push themselves. That’s the beauty of being a supporter.

“They’re in enough pain, mate, you want them to enjoy it. If they think we will be world champions, that’s great, it’s up to us to live up to those expectations. Our fans deserve to have a little happiness and enjoy it as they wish.

Despite their best efforts, Spurs failed to sign a second central defender after van de Ven this summer.

They seemingly failed with a late move for Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly, a player they could actually bring back in January.

It has also been suggested that Spurs could sign a genuine centre-forward like Kane, while players such as OGC Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram are emerging as transfer targets.

Outside the window, the north Londoners are also rumored to be signing highly-rated young defender Luka Vuskovic.

Tanzi shares an update on the matter, writing for L’Equipe that Tottenham will “fulfil” his contract with Hadjuk Split after the player “chose to join Tottenham”. Spurs apparently beat PSG to his signature and he will put pen to paper on a move for around £8.6 million.

However, the Croatia Under-17 international will apparently have to wait to make his Tottenham debut as he will not be eligible to play until he turns 18 in 2025. Dubbed “an absolute unit” by the media, Vuskovic arrives with a stellar reputation, and will Interesting to see if Postecoglou will stick around long enough for him to thrive under the Australian’s guidance.

Standing 6ft tall, Vskovic could be a star of the future as a host of teams, including European champions Manchester City, are believed to have chased his signature before he eventually opted for the N17 .
