Kelleher has established himself as one of the best backup goalkeepers in the Premier League.
He joined Liverpool’s academy in 2015 and made his first-team debut in September 2019 at the age of 20.
He impressed when he had the chance to do so in the Liverpool shirt. But since his first league appearance he has only made 20 appearances.
McAteer is a big fan of Kelleher but admits his chances will remain limited as long as Alisson is at Liverpool. He believes now is the time to move on and become a No. 1 elsewhere.
