Heart breaking: Bulldogs winger have finally departed from club…..

Bulldogs Winger Jacob Kiraz Set to Join Extended Kangaroos Squad for Pacific Championship

Canterbury Bulldogs winger Jacob Kiraz is reportedly set to be named in the extended Kangaroos squad for this year’s Pacific Championship, following a standout season. According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Kiraz’s impressive form has earned him a potential spot in the Australian squad, as the Bulldogs made a surprising surge to the finals.

NRL clubs have been informed of players under consideration, with 31 names expected to be announced. Kiraz joins a group of players likely to make their Kangaroos debut, including Zac Lomax, Connor Watson, Reece Robson, Tom Dearden, and Mitch Barnett.

Jacob Kiraz has been a revelation at the wing position for the Canterbury Bulldogs this season

The extended squad will be trimmed down to 22 players before Australia’s first test match against Tonga on October 18. Notably, no players from the Sharks, Titans, or Tigers have been named in the preliminary lineup, reflecting the squad’s composition largely from teams still in finals contention, excluding Cronulla.

One significant omission is Kalyn Ponga, who initially made the preliminary squad but controversially withdrew to focus on the Newcastle Knights’ pre-season preparations. His decision has stirred debate, with Ponga potentially facing a suspension as a result.

Kiraz has been a revelation for the Bulldogs, solidifying his position on the wing and contributing to the team’s unexpected run to the finals. As excitement builds around his potential international debut, fans are eager to see how the final squad will shape up for the Pacific Championship.
