The “Drag Race” host is taking over “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” this week

RuPaul has always excelled at making a statement, whether on stage or while covering political events. This week, while guest-hosting “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” the “RuPaul’s Drag Race” star brought his unique flair to political commentary by humorously analyzing Joe Biden’s Tuesday night speech.

“President Biden wrapped things up last night with a speech that was downright folksy,” Ru quipped.

The show then aired a montage of Biden’s speech, highlighting every time he said the word “folks,” with a “Folks Counter” in the corner tallying up to 12 by the end.

“He’s got no folks left to give,” RuPaul concluded with a smile.

RuPaul didn’t stop there. He also poked fun at Donald Trump, who had criticized Tim Walz and Vice President Kamala Harris for being “weird.” RuPaul humorously agreed that politicians should avoid erratic behavior on stage before showing a montage of Trump’s own bizarre moments from his rallies, including arm-flailing, yelling about lights, repeatedly saying “bing,” and even kissing the American flag.

The rest of RuPaul’s monologue included travel advice for LGBTQ individuals heading to Florida (“Book in advance to ensure your room has a fully functional glory hole”) and a new game where the studio audience had to guess if pedestrians were drag queens or not.

Jimmy Kimmel is set to return to his show this fall after his usual summer break, with previous guest hosts this season including Martin Short, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Kathryn Hahn, Anthony Anderson, Kumail Nanjiani, and Lamorne Morris.
