A cyclist is in critical condition after being struck by a motorcycle ridden by two teenagers in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. The accident occurred around 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday when the bicycle and motorcycle collided on Edgars Rd in Thomastown.

The cyclist, a man in his 50s, was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police are continuing their investigation into the incident, according to 7NEWS. The 14-year-old boy allegedly riding the motorcycle was also taken to the hospital, though the severity of his injuries remains unknown.

A 15-year-old boy, who was a passenger on the motorcycle, was treated at the scene for minor injuries. He is currently assisting police with their inquiries.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
