Oscar Allen is set to wed.
The West Coast Eagles player has announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Lorna McNabb.
In a heartfelt social media post, the 25-year-old posed beside his fiancée, who showcased her stunning diamond ring. “Fiancé. A very special moment that Dad could be a part of,” Lorna McNabb wrote in her caption.
The announcement quickly garnered numerous congratulatory messages from teammates and fellow footballers. “Congrats bro,” commented West Coast Eagles player Scott Lycett, accompanied by a heart emoji. Another teammate, Elliot Louis Yeo, added, “Congratulations.” Jack Darling also expressed his joy, writing, “Beautiful, love love,” while Mark LeCras said, “Congratulations mate.”
Oscar Allen, who co-captains the West Coast Eagles, made his debut with the team in 2018. The Perth-based footballer began his career in 2016 at the colts level and was nominated for the AFL Rising Star award in 2019 for his three-goal effort against Adelaide at Optus Stadium.
The engagement post was flooded with well-wishes, including from teammate Josh Rotham, who exclaimed, “Bangggggggg,” and Alex Witherden, who added, “So good.” Paul Leaping noted, “Congratulations guys, so good to see. Wedding season will be busy for the Allens.”
Earlier this week, Allen suffered an injury during a match with the Gold Coast Suns. “Oscar Allen has headed to the rooms to receive treatment on a suspected finger injury,” read a post on X from the West Coast Eagles.
