Early Sunday morning, Phoenix firefighters worked to remove a body from a hiking route in north Phoenix, according to officials.
According to Phoenix Fire Department officials, firefighters were alerted at 8:15 a.m. on Sunday to reports of a person with an unknown injury on the Circumference hiking route. When responders arrived on the route, the man was “beyond resuscitative efforts,” officials stated.
A technical rescue team assisted in the recovery, and the Phoenix Police Department was looking into the event.
