According to the ESPN report, a close friend of Bill Belichick was quoted saying: “I don’t think Bill Belichick will ever be a head coach again in the National Football League. Unless it’s [for] Jerry Jones.”
Per the friend, Belichick is waiting in the wings for the Dallas head coach role to open up.
He is only considering coming back to the NFL as a head coach if it is under Jerry Jones.
McCarthy could be released in 2025 and pave the way for Bill
McCarthy has one year left on his current deal, if America’s Team refuses to extend him, then the job will be open for the unemployed coach.
Furthermore, with there being strong links to Belichick last year it makes sense that he is a front-runner once more.
